Mission
To provide a safe environment for youth interaction while promoting positive self-expression and development of life skills and artistic expression.
Vision
Broad investment in our youth, development of community pride, increase overall achievement, encouragement of positive expression, and development of leadership skills.
The Expose Excellence Youth Program strives to establish and support communication with youth school administration, churches, and local community leaders to promote school attendance and a positive outlook on the importance of education. Expose Excellence assists in advocating for the youth by accessing educational resources and overcoming barriers to educational opportunities. The intention of the Expose Excellence Youth Outreach Program is to ensure that youth have the skills, knowledge, and support needed to encourage self-efficacy
The target group of The Expose Excellence Youth Program is all students, boys and girls, between the ages of 10-17 who attend any of the schools located in the Fort Bend County. Student’s school counselors, churches, community organizations, or legal guardians can refer them to the program. Any student who identifies with the program and shows interest can participate as well.
Positive youth development programs strengthen young people’s sense of identity, belief in the future, self-regulation, and self-efficacy as well as their social, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral competence. Youth enrichment programs often provide the skills and education that is not normally included in the school curriculum. These programs also have the potential to prevent substance use and violence behaviors that contribute to risky behaviors and are associated with improvements in academic performance.
In Expose Excellence Youth Program, we want our youth to interact with each other while learning new skills in areas that interest them.

Due to the recent global events, there has been a substantial increase in serious violent crimes among the youth. These violent offenders not only have a negative impact on their community and family, they have a negative influence on other youth in the school setting.
Youth outreach programs have a proven record of success and best practices to improve school attendance and interest in higher education. Evidence shows that well-designed Positive Youth Development interventions can lead to positive outcomes.
Positive youth development (PYD) interventions provides all youth with support, relationships, experiences, resources and opportunities needed to become competent, thriving adults.
According to Youth.gov, “Positive youth development is an intentional, prosocial approach that engages youth within their communities, schools, organizations, peer groups, and families in a manner that is productive and constructive; recognizes, utilizes, and enhances young people’s strengths; and promotes positive outcomes for young people by providing opportunities, fostering positive relationships and furnishing the support needed to build on their leadership strengths.”
Students who participate in Expose Excellence will participate in:
Programs can be administered during school ancillary hours, after-school hours, and on some occasions, the weekend depending on the program.
Expose Excellence works closely with Fort Bend County school administration and district officials to determine the best method of delivering enrichment programs to the students.
Transportation to and from field trips will be provided by the program at no cost to the students and their families.
The overall goal of Expose Excellence is to provide youth with life-enriching, out of school education that is typically not incorporated in the existing school curriculum. Participants in the program will receive experience through hands-on, in-person sessions with trained coordinators and guest professionals.
The implementation of this program is intended to prevent students from dropping out and engaging in risky behaviors that can subsequently land them in the Fort Bend Juvenile Probation Department.
